Below are example breakdowns of what to expect when you bring in your motorcycle for its regular services.

Mandatory Services

  1. Inspect: Electrical equipment and switches
  2. Check: Front tire pressure and tread 
  3. Check: Front wheel spoke tightness (if equipped) 
  4. Inspect: Front brake fluid level 
  5. Lubricate: Clutch cable 
  6. Adjust: Clutch cable 
  7. Check: Front brake fluid moisture content 
  8. Tighten: Hand control switch housing screw torque 
  9. Tighten: Clutch lever handlebar clamp screw torque 
  10. Tighten: Front brake handlebar clamp screw torque 
  11. Replace: Engine oil and filter 
  12. Check: Engine coolant 
  13. Clean: Radiators or oil cooler
  14. Replace: Primary chaincase lubricant 
  15. Replace: Transmission lubricant

  1. Flush brake systems and replace DOT hydraulic brake fluid every two years or sooner if moisture content is 3 percent or greater.
  2. Inspect rear sprocket isolators for wear at each rear tire change.
  3. Check battery, terminal torque and clean connections annually. Lubricate terminals with ELECTRICAL CONTACT LUBRICANT. 
  4. Replace spark plugs every two years or every 30,000 mi (48,000 km), whichever comes first.
  5. Replace fuel filter element every 100,000 mi (161,000 km).

Our regular maintenance always includes a comprehensive performance and safety inspection along with so much more. Why risk anything less?

  1. Replace engine oil, filter, and drain plug O-ring. Torque drain plug to proper specification. Ensure proper oil level at operating temperature. 
  2. Check operation of all electrical equipment, lighting, and controls. 
  3. Inspect front and rear tire tread depth and air pressure. Check tightness of oil spokes (if equipped). 
  4. Inspect fluid level and moisture content of front brake reservoir. Check torque of cover screws.
  5. Check torque of switch housing screws, clutch level handlebar clamp screws, and master cylinder handlebar screws. 
  6. Check engine coolant freeze point and inspect for leaks. Clean radiators or oil cooler. 
  7. Drain and replace primary chaincase lubricant and drain plug O-ring. (if applicable)
  8. Drain and replace transmission lubricant and drain plug O-ring. (if applicable) 
  9. Inspect oil, brake and fuel lines and fittings for leaks, contact, or abrasions. 
  10. Inspect rear brake reservoir for proper fluid level and moisture content. Check torque of cover screws. 
  11. Inspect front brake pads and discs. Ensure pad thickness is within specification. 
  12. Inspect rear brake pads and discs. Ensure pad thickness is within specification. 
  13. Check torque of front and rear axle nut. 
  14. Inspect and lubricate jiffy stand. 
  15. Lubricate clutch cable. Ensure proper cable adjustment and hand lever free play.
  16. Check, adjust, and lubricate brake and clutch controls. 
  17. Inspect and adjust drive belt or chain. Inspect wheel sprocket. 
  18. Inspect exhaust system for leaks, cracks and loose or missing fasteners or exhaust shields. 
  19. Check battery, clean connections and torque terminal screws. 
  20. Lubricate the fuel door, hinge, and latch. 
  21. Check for open recalls, products campaigns, trouble codes, and software updates. 
  22. Flush brake and clutch systems and replace DOT 4 brake and clutch fluids every two years. 
  23. Road test – verify component and system functions.
